... to dinner, Mary and I did a little touring of Venice, a city with a history dating back to the late 1800's, the downtown area is well planned and neat with the main street full of interesting shops and a lot of foot traffic. It's busiest here in the summer and spring, when school is out. In the winter, most of our visitors are retirees from up North (like where you're from!). They call themselves Snowbirds, because they head South for the winter just like birds.

Santa Rosa Beach was originally named Hogtown Bayou. That doesn't sound nearly as nice, does it?
