The zoo is enormous, as you can imagine and built into the side of a canyon. There are lots of hills but thankfully a lot of vegetation that allows for shade. Another good thing is there are shuttle buses that come along the hilly, farther out points about every fifteen minutes or so, and will bring you back to flat ground. ... we managed to enjoy ourselves. We went to the arctic area first, where you go on a helicopter simulator that throws you around as you travel through an ice storm over the arctic. Then you go in and see the porpoise whales, walrus, polar bears and penguins, this was one of my favorite parts as I was excited about seeing a walrus and the polar bear hunting live fish in his enclosure.
