In 1905 there was a flood of the Colorado river and they made a sea of the water and use it to water farms in the agricultural area. ... and someone came to the rescue with the funding, otherwise they would have had to close down) These are the moments I have loved about this trip where you meet someone new and they have some tie to another strange adventure from the trip. Camping (yes I know we were not officially in a tent) has always been the best for meeting friendly folk.

Observation of an Australian Tourist: the Americans are so very patriotic, and really do salute their military personnel. At the zoo and sea world, they and their families (serving or not) get in free, and at Seaworld before the show, they were asked to stand up and were clapped and shown on the large screen.
