      We got into our hotel around 7.30pm, and headed over to the buffet. Boy was that worth the $18.95, plus tax, plus tip, that it cost per person.       ... br> We passed the Chollar Mine but couldn’t get a picture as it was down low. It was the original entrance to the Comstock Load gold and silver mine. The many miles of mines under the City Streets were shored up by wood from the Lake Tahoe area.

      It was amazing to see some beautiful homes sitting right next to dilapidated, falling down structures. But this was the charm of this amazing town.
