So, I just had to post this awesome story. In this show, I am playing the mother, Kathryn Dover, to five little girls (one at a time of course!) who play my daughter named Sarah Dover. As they are all different, with different personalities, they all get different middle names, and as their 'mother' I get to pick those middle names. And one little ...

... of the little girls who play Sarah. They have had to cast three more little girls to alternate the role throughout the run. (Child Labor Laws....)
Rehearsals are going well and we open on Friday! YAY!!! The show will continue throughout the holidays and will close Dec. 31st.
Doing a Christmas show like this always makes me in a sentimental mood. Keep in touch - all of you!

Today, Florence and I had the opportunity to visit Gettysburg National Park, and given that we started the day with very limited knowledge of Gettysburg or the Civil War for that matter, we didn't exactly know what we were going to see and learn. What we saw and learned was so much more than I can ever put on this blog, but overall it was a very good day.....incredibly interesting, awe inspiring in it's scope, and very sad at the ...
York, Pennsylvania, United States donhadThe big push continues with another day of cloud watching as some spectacular scenery rolls by. I loved riding up thru WV and MD. Beautiful horse farms, mountains and fall colors kept me from staring too hard at all the dark, ponderous clouds lurking along the hilltops. The temps ranged from 54 to 72 F (briefly). Do not expect to see the 70s again.
But at least we are tucked in and no drops have touched the big fella. Just a frost warning for tonight and chilly temps tomorrow.
... of buying an 8-unit apartment building to get started in a building management career. We talked a lot about our travels. She had once crossed the country. Drove from Nevada to Ohio in 36 hours! Three moms and three toddlers! He'd missed that trip! But, he loved hunting, bungee jumping, and maybe sometime he would try skydiving. She was getting ready to get certified for scuba diving. They were getting around.
We were on our way to meet Reena's old school friend from back in Singapore. We found ourself driving straight threw Pennsylvania. This is where Ram when to high school.
We made some quick calls and Ram found a high school friend that he hasn't seen or even talked to in 8 years! We stoped only for a couple hours and we had to be on our way....
... up after everytime he is let out! But the truth remains that everything you touch out there when you are on the road will most likely be crawling with germs. Even in our Grade-A inspected supermarkets, the shopping carts are known to be the cause of pain for many who have no interest to go on a roadtrip other than just a quick "five-minute" down the pike for some milk. Take this scenario. Our busy mom has junior finally belted down on ...
York, Pennsylvania, United States johnshantonMade a day stop in Old Town Philly, to visit the Independence National Historic Park. Saw the liberty bell and independence hall, Ben Franklin's grave, and, most importantly, the old tavern that our founding fathers went to, got drunk, and decided it would be bloody fun to mess w/ the Brits. But that was all secondary to the highlight, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwhiches. Talk about ...

It seemed incredibly sad that there were people who gave their lives for their beliefs, and yet no one (to this day) knows who they are.
We continued around the graves on the paved loop that runs through the necropolis. Occasionally, we’d stop to take a picture or just look at the names. A lot of other tourists ...
