We drove into Bushnell today to see the re-enactment of Dade's 1835 Battle with the Seminoles, which took place in this area. Having never been to any reenactments before, we weren't exactly sure what to expect, but found it to be very well done, informative, and a memorable experience. I got a LOT of good pictures, but it's late right now, so I just wanted to get this entry noted before I forgot to do it. Pictures will follow!
... to walk in the pens and feed the rescue animals - a horse, pot-bellied pig, and turkey, as well as the alpacas. Mum found a skein of alpaca yarn for her knitting friend Freda. Last weekend they had an Open House where they were run off their feet so I am glad this time worked for us. Of course this meant that Tom, the 60+ pound turkey, was able to stalk us, and us alone!
