Yeh this was a hard day . Average temp was over 30c , couple spots the Garmin device recorded 36. The three groups all did similar distances to yesterday 60k for Fran and Leslie, 86 k for my group, and the silly "fast group" did about 130k. Suggest this is a great place to visit this time of year, still green. The locals say ...

... There wouldnt have been anywhere to sit and wait for our call to put our bags through. I think that they dont encourage anyone to wait around to say goodbye. as there wasnt even a coffee shop.
Anyway our flight was good and we got some rest.Ebony was waiting for us in Sydney so we bought a coffee and headed off home. The coffee was very very good. Home was even better. So so dry. but fortunately not too hot.
          Now where to next?

Driving through Kings Canyon NP en route gave us a taste of the terrain, but nothing can prepare you for the sight of the giant Sequoia trees! They are simply huge! We trekked out to see 'General Sherman', considered to be the largest tree on Earth, ...

During our breakfast on the beach, we could see the water line from last nite's high tide and realized how close the water was to our tent (approximately 8 feet). The ocean sounds were loud but very lulling to sleep to.

We drove northwest to Santa Barbara, parked (after a quick map pick up in the tourist information center) and began to walk parts of the historic downtown. First stop the courthouse building ...

After a crazy night Mactar and me woke up on a couch in the garage of the frat house we partied in. A little hung over we walked to the a burger place about 5 blocks away and had a very good morning Burger with some sweet potato fries and a shake. As soon as we came back played a couple rounds of beer dice and spitz pass auf. At around 2 o'clock we went to the fret house next door where a big day party was going on. They had a DJ, ...
