... hundreds of feet above. There are several different decks and wooden walkways at different view points, all do which will get you wet. The Hurricane Deck will soak you from head to foot, even with the poncho. We didn't venture too close to that view point. But many did. By this point of the day, we were a little worn out. ... we headed back to the hotel. We didn't go through Canadian customs, but did have to go through US customs on the way back. We were tired from the long day of driving and it was colder and windier in Niagara Falls than we had thought.

The falls were amazing at sunset. We had a good view of them from the bridge, but were looking forward to exploring both the American and Canadian sides the next day.
