Already had nearly a full tank of gas, as they say over here, so followed the Garmin route across country a little bit until we joined I-71 South. We drove south on 77 until 9:30 when we stopped at a Love's Truck Stop in Ripley for a bathroom break. The anxiety of ...

This is a historic site. There was a Revolutionary War battle fought here and also a Civil War battle fought here. This plantation house was used in the movie "The Patriots" with Mel Gibson. This was the home his family lived in for the movie. I've been here before with my mom so some of you have probably already seen some of these ...

... again for a bit of canoe action, but this time it was very casual and we simply paddled out and relaxed in the boat, soaking up the sunshine, with the breeze down river! We really enjoyed our day out to the park, and enjoyed working off some off the American junk food we have been consuming! Tired from the day though we got some quick food and fell asleep, with the morning seeing us set off on the road again and this time carrying on to ...
