... fascinating. We saw so much and learned a lot, met some awfully nice people and tasted some toe-curling good food. We are so glad to have had the chance for such an adventure, one which will be engraved in our fond memories for many many years, at least until senility sets in.

Uphill from a plaza was Quartier Latin where we had an evening coffee. Waiters kept asking us in French and we could not shake off a feeling of being in a magnificently unreal place

I like Montreal, but it's not as green and pleasant as even other Canadian cities are, with Vancouver worth a particular mention here. It's also very, very busy at the moment, with tourists and locals alike. Plenty of nice places to shop and eat though! With any luck tonight we're having a meetup in the hotel bar, we shall see what happens there...

... being in the office five days.... though I'm not complaining the cash has been very handy ... My work is enjoyable and my immediate team is loads of fun...
