... need fuel when I arrived at Orofino. I have never seen so many grain fields in my life—everywhere and not on the flat-they are in all the rolling hills-some quit steep. Finally there, and headed towards the pass. I had seen a very small sign saying there might be fire in the pass, but no others. This pass has almost 200 miles with no side roads that go anywhere. Well got home yesterday at 4:0o pm, 3:00 am Paris time. Out travel day started at 5:30 am Paris time! I swear Dad was in better shape than I was! So now it is 3:30 am Arizona time July 6th and after having slept off and on from 6:30 on, I'm wide awake! Hope my internal clock will be reset before my return to work on Monday! Au revoir ! P.S. ... road like rivulets’ of rainwater! Now 10 minutes later, the wind is still strong but I can again see Reds house. The cactus really swayed and I can’t believe the palms don’t blow down. What a storm! 50 MPH winds. Now at 5:30 it is a thunder storm and rain! I took the food from refrig to Jerry and Vicky, gave him my list of ‘to do’ things, then finished packing. Took some things over to Red and talked for a while, finished packing and went to bed!
... tea and chocolates. Douglas, (my host father) also likes chocolate. I think we will get along! :) I will have to find a couple of gifts for them to bring to Peru! Of course I responded back with a million questions! So hopefully I hear from her again soon.
