... really new. There is also a treasure hunt for the kids (which we don't do tonight, as we are exhausted!) to unlock a special treasure chest in the room. It's another boost to the energy just being in the room, and I'm really glad we made the effort to come and stay here at the beginning of the trip. We walk down and grab a buffet dinner from their Lego themed restaurant before heading back to our room, and pretty much collapsing in our beds. What a first day!
So the day started with presents (many, many thank you letters to write on Will's return) and very tuneful singing. We then jumped into the Chevvy Impala and headed down to San Diego, a little over an hour away.
We arrived in Sea World (tickets courtesy of Uncle Neil, for which many thanks) in time for a swift second course of breakfast (food rarely being far from Will's mind, these days) and then wandered straight into the first "Shamu Show" of the day. ...
... boy Tom would not put on sun cream and got extremely sunburnt. There were plenty of shena****ns, and threats to get us in the cold sea, but we managed to stay dry!
This was the first time we really relaxed on our trip, and was so well deserved and really lovely day. the pictures just make me smile.

Not too much it seems, we just have to take down one tree. We have a small courtyard in the back which has two strips of greenery either side.
