    Right across the Marriott, is a huge mall which extends at length crossing 2 streets. I like this mall for it has a nice relaxing area, like a flight of steps, in the centre where i always see a good crowd. I have not yet relaxed there yet - may be some day. Another area that attracts me to this mall is the food court - which has very good options for vegetarians too.     ... to Staten Island and back was all I really needed.

    It was such a magnificent day (and a whole lot warmer than yesterday) I thought I would treat myself a ride in a helicopter to see the big apple from above. I checked in, sorted my ticket and booked a time for 4pm later in the day.

    Down on the waters edge they have the national museum of the Indian, housed in yet another 1800's grand building ...

    ... that we did. We stumbled upon 'Hogs and Heifers' in the Meatpacking district at the end of the High Line. I actually suspected that it might be themed for tourists looking for the 'real thing' but after spending about 5 hours in there (!) we hung out with the locals and found out a lot of history and got a great feel for the place. That, and staying in Harlem made my NYC experience...oh and Dunkin' ...

    ... We had a good look at the European paintings... There are so many amazing paintings... Loved the ones by Vermeer. We then went to the Egyptian exhibit which is fantastic too. There is a whole temple that has been relocated there. The exhibit was huge. We then had a quick look at some of the amazing statues.... We are fast running out of time... So many galleries, so little ...

    ... warmed up slightly. We did get to wave to Santa at the very end of the parade on our way to the subway. We came back to the apartment to finish thawing out.
