Mr and I have been on the road now for 13 days. We have traveled just over 800 miles believing it would be warmer at each stop. So far the temp here (53 degrees) is exactly the same temp it was when we left Michigan. The final stop is Elvis's burial memorial along with his parents and brother.<br><br>For any Elvis fan it is a dream trip come true as you view all of his memorabilia.<br><br>As for me- it brought memories of my youth and the songs we danced to in a bygone era.<br><br>Next stop- West Monroe, LA

Sunday October 11th<br><br>When we arrived the rain stopped long enough for us to hike down a couple of the trails. With more rain and dropping temperatures in the forecast, we jumped at the chance to hike to Rock House Cave and Cedar Creek. The trails are rocky and wooded, with sections along the creek and up into the hills. The Rock House Cave is an amazing example of where native Americans took shelter and carved cave drawings into the walls ...

... last ride thru because my motel is 5 mi south of I-40. The motel seems to have little on the city itself so I will peruse my guide book and see what else is noteworthy besides the Clinton Library. I got all excited that there was a barbecue place beside the motel, until I realized it was abandoned.
