The Grand Denali Lodge displays a notice saying that the hotel is owned by Native American people (in my youth known as Red Indians, a term I suppose that is not politically correct today) under a settlement act of 1971. It seems to be the government saying sorry for stealing their country, destroying their culture, and decimating their population …

... for dinner. So, off to the room we went and watched some tv and I also updated yesterday's blog entry as I was too tired to finish it last night. By 6:45 we headed to the dining room for dinner. It was quite busy, so they gave us a buzzer and a free drink voucher for either a soda or glass if champagne. I had the champagne, but should have ordered the soda.     As a stop over it is fine. It has a bed, shower, and airport shuttle
