... the draw he'd been sick in with my mint shower gel I didn't think there'd be any smell sadly I was very wrong.

Surfing was the main reason we came to Santa Cruz and today was the day to become pro at it. Walking down to the meeting point at the beach to see the sea completely flat meant we had to get to another beach which actually had some waves. Yes, Sunday, 9/15, we walked the 5k as part of the PG Triathlon and Wounded Warrior project. (Thanks for all your well wishes on that!) All in great company.

We pulled in to a Motel 6 where Wendy would have been able to have a hot bath and try to fully recover. Despite changing plans to stay at a motel instead of the RV park the place didn't have bath plugs ...

... city. We also visited on Obon day festival in the Japan town of San Jose where we shown how to tie my new obe into a bow and watched a taiko drum performance. Santana Row was another place we often visited for a stroll on the pretty pedestrian shopping street with favourite haunts including the bubble tea and Pinkberry frozen yogurt shops.
We also visited Palo Alto, home to Silicone Valley's nouveau riche ...
