Hi Everyone!
Well, our long awaited trip is finally here! We anticipate leaving home tomorrow by 6:30am with our first night's rest in St. Clair, MO. We will then travel to Elk City, OK for night #2 and our 3rd night will be in Grants, NM.

... NY and had a wonderful lunch along the shore of Lake Erie. The water was a beautiful blue/green color and an old stone lighthouse was a short distance away. Did I mention the shipwreck?

Passing through Pennsylvania and New York, the grapes were ready for picking and the 'cow' corn was being harvested.

Today's mileage: 288 = 712 total. 16.5 mpg

... manner through travel terminals. One bag and a backpack is the way to go. Therefore, we selected clothing carefully - mix and match clothing that will easily wash out in the hotel room and dry overnight. When all was packed we have two bags that came in just under 50 lbs each and one backpack at about 18lbs and another at 7. We're good to go! ... wonderful care of me and I am on the mend. We will be ready to go as we prepare to leave for DC on Monday, August 5. We will visit Julie's family and friends in DC, as well as attempt to get some last minute Visas. Then, on August 14, we fly to Iceland! We will update the blog from there!
