    Left Gavin's around 10.30am. So hard to leave. Gas in Minden. Spent hours in Historic Virginia City. Wish I could post pics on this iPhone cause words don't do it justice. Found a Best Western in Fernley and stayed there a night Bought another gps from Walmart as the other one wasn't recognizing towns. Long drive Wed morn 8 hours solid driving thru countryside that hardly changes Hope to stay in Salt Lake City tonight. Can someone please comment on this if they are getting ...

    We caught a trout! James was low on food so we worked together to catch him a fish. It was quite tasty, almost sweet.

    ... a week. Our favorite training exercise was our Tuesday night climbs up Heavenly. A good 2,000 feet elevation climb and back down. Earlier in the summer when the days were long enough, we would pack sandwiches for dinner on the mountain. Now we are forced to stop at the Blue Angel Cafe on our way home.

    ... this area was clear cut to power the saw mills and was replanted. Trees are big but not huge. The campground is in a hilly and rocky area so that some sites are in valleys and some on the hills. There are at least 2 meadows that we’ve seen so far and saw a deer run across the one across the road from our site.

    There is no cell service at all and no internet so we have a very quiet life this week!
