Rodeway Inn Lake Tahoe

... Lake was a beautiful lake and we got house envy looking at the log and cedar sided homes along here. (Hmmm&#8230;maybe we should&#8217;ve tried to hit the jackpot at Harrah&#8217;s???)<br><br>Autumn here was beautiful but the most beautiful sight of all was the most spectacular sunset on our trip, which you'll see in the photos. No color enhancement with these pix - the colors were that intense.<br><br>Next stop&#8230;Yosemite National Park.

... there is also snow in tahoe high up but very pretty and obviously cold. they say that the weather will settle tomorrow so maybe we can get out and about and see some sights. we did get a couple of pics but the camera is in the car. tomorrow we head for san fransisco but will go round the lake for some views. so bye for now and we'll speak to you from san fran. we need to do some "shopping" for mike! x<br>

... lake, with bays you could stop off at for lunch or swimming. We headed the 4 miles to Vikingsholm and had lunch watching the paddlesteamers come and go. On the way back we stopped off for a swim at one of the bays. The water was cold but not as cold as Skilak Lake in Alaska (I forgot to tell you we swam there!). After a while you get used to it. ... Vorhängeschloss aufschließen konnten - hatte ich gute Lust alles wieder einzupacken und weiter zu fahren. Vielleicht naiv, aber das war einfach nicht, was wir uns erwartet hatten!!!<br><br>Durch die Angst vor den Bären und allem drum herum haben wir beide fast kein Auge zugetan und die Krönung war noch der Schnarcher im ca. 50 cm entfernten Zelt. ... as dry as a bone, really. So a soak in a natural hot spring was the best thing in the whole world, really. The next day, I took a gorgious drive around the lake and had breakfast with the girls. After meeting up with Z in Reno again, I headed back to San Francisco to gather myself and visit with Ericka and Anaya (her daughter) a bit more.

... just beautiful. The color of the lake changes dramatically in two places from a pale blue to a rich turquoise then to a deeper blue. ... house, did some minor cleaning, washed some super stinky snowboard clothes, hung out in the hot tub to relax. Brendan made this amazing soup and I had some of that...god it was good! Paul came back and packed, we hung out a bit then I drove him down to Reno, I haven't been there in years, pretty easy drive, only 45 min each way. It started snowing as I go closer to Tahoe, followed a salt truck on the way in to Squaw and then upon my return ...

My whole life long, I've wanted to ski out West. I've known the pleasures of skiing on the East Coast U.S.A., and even in the Austrian Alps, which were sublime indeed, but I'm told that you haven't really skied till you've skied out West, and now I finally have. Lake Tahoe. Spectacular.

... had passed me made sure to tell me how they admired my effort. That was nice but there wasn't any hot looking chicks, mainly just senior citizens. So now I sit here sore as hell and I can still feel that bike seat up my ass but I'm going to head back to the casino to check out the slots and, possibly, the sluts. Tomorrow I head over to Reno, Nevada which has been described by my travel guide as a combination of "Showgirls" and "Golden Girls." It should be weird.
