Day 1
I left my parents at a casual 8am and headed off after packing up anything that might not like to be frozen that I had kept in the house.

... The Brown, and quickly sat down for dinner, to map out our route and sample a couple of bourbons from their menu (which was quite extensive as one could imagine). John and Lisa were also upgraded to the penthouse suite as their room had the after taste of a 2 packet per day smoker – winning! Louisville was also the destination of our first distilleries, Evan Williams and Bulleit, so we could get off to an early start to fit in the 5 distilleries we needed ...

... there … and I did. The campground was full so I parked in the rustic camping area (meaning no hookups) and spent the night.

I realized when I was going through my photos that I took very few photos in Tennessee or Kentucky! I was pushing pretty hard, the weather was awful and I was on very busy roads where there was nowhere to pull over. What can I say except, Sorry! … so I’m including a few from my 2008 trip when we had perfect weather.

... was difficult to maneuver on these dirt roads. So we headed to a Cracker Barrel. We have never been there and the boys lived it and packed down a huge meal! Then over the border to Kentucky. Louiville Kentucky in defiantly not the prettiest places I have seen! Whew, the traffic was horrific and the interstate goes right through the middle of the city!! Rich again was not too happy in packed traffic with semi trucks and 5:00pm traffic! We wizzed pass the ...
