Drove all day until it started to get dark and pulled off at a Super 8 motel in Elizabethtown (name of one of my favourite movies). I was tired from the long drive ~800 km today so I let myself chill to watching cable TV! Something I never do since there is no cable in the country.

We soon discovered the pours per tasting they give you are measured for a couple of sips only, and this would be the case for all distilleries as it is regulated, and probably to lessen a bunch of bourbon swilling tourist’s driving aimlessly through-out Kentucky. Needed to work off some food and drink so we took boys on walk to Harvard! Walked about 8 km around Boston. A beautiful and lovely city. Our tour included a visit to the Bell In Hand tavern.. The oldest pub in The States! Sent the boys to pick up the rental van and ...

I realized when I was going through my photos that I took very few photos in Tennessee or Kentucky! I was pushing pretty hard, the weather was awful and I was on very busy roads where there was nowhere to pull over. What can I say except, Sorry! … so I’m including a few from my 2008 trip when we had perfect weather.
