After a kind of unpleasant flight filled with crying children and loud conversations we arrived in LA via Honolulu. We caught up on sleep and woke at noon on Monday, ready to tackle LA! Venice beach was lovely, probably most interesting though was the bus trip. When asking for advice, most people seem to say "oh no, I don't ride the bus!" We thought there must be a silly stigma attached. However ...

... security, there were less than 20 minutes left before boarding. The international terminal was quite nice, with lots of shops and eating places, but we did not have the time to look at any. We met Ira and Fran at the gate – they arrived earlier than we did and stayed in the club.

We boarded the plane around 10:15pm local time, which would be 1am back home. A long day. We definitely did the right thing to have booked business class seats on AirTahiti Nui. It was ...

... ve got a long day ahead of them. We didn't chat for very long as they needed to get some sleep, they were giggling too much to chat a lot anyway to be honest! Haha. We spent most of the night trying to work out what tours of Hollywood we want to do tomorrow. I picked up a few leaflets from the hotel lobby which included the red London bus style tour which is $44 each for 24 hours. This would allow us to travel two routes which wouldn't have been ideal as we ...
