Visited with my lovely Sri Lankan friends - the whole family was home and Samantha ( college student coming off weird hours for exam prep) even got up to greet me. And Dylan and Ryan so 'grown up' now. Sanjiv and Nyanja ( sp?/ my apologies ) both looking well and no older despite the 8-9 yr. passed!!! And good for Sanjiv finally finished with his chemo and now to enjoy a well deserved remission. Such brave souls that face these cancer battles - I've always admired their strength ...

... to our overnight stop, with a trip to Longhorn Steakhouse part way! After we dumped the bags we took a trip to Walmart, Trev bought himself an American Football and I bought nothing!- saving myself for the premium outlets tomorrow!!! On the way back to the hotel we found a place called Dairy Queen who sold.......wait for it.........SMORES MILKSHAKES!!!!! Needless to say I had one ...

Back to the Build. Worked Saturday morning with Ryan Payton (new friend who also came over from Tuscaloosa), Mike Cosey, Brett and Damian Battle (soon to be new homeowner). We juggled around the panels that would make up the exterior walls of the house and cut the sheathing for the two gabel ends and made the ladders for the overhang on both gables.

We sang several old hymns and opened the Word together. It was not a church I would have been drawn to if we had been at home. The music was calm, the message was basic and it was just where we needed to be today. ...

The rain continues! We thought it was stopping last night, but about 1 am it started up again, not as hard as before, but enough to still make it sloppy.

We got up early since the first seminar we wanted to go to was at 8 am and because we are about 40 miles out, we had to leave here about 7 am. So we got ready and drove to Perry.
