... Skippy to Annie's house. Flynn was at wrestling practice, so we gave Annie all the "care and feeding" instructions. I hope we didn't overwhelm her with TMI. Spent a restful night at the motel; really needed it -- we were exhausted. I hope we can sleep as well on the long flight!

Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States jasonmarshToday Frank stayed home to make us his famous pork chili. Takes hours of love and we were all grateful. Antonio went for another long marathon training run. Chuck, Hector & Diana went foraging for Jack In The Box, an Apple store and a double feature ;) "Couples Retreat" & "Whip It" both good and more importantly cheap. Only $6.50 and you know we did the 2 fer 1 cause we're geto(boys) like that. Made it back to home base in time to see Dollhouse and feast on dinner. Great day for all.
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States fotogeeks... yesterday an 'Emergency Half-Day' was declared so everyone could go home and tune up their gear for the first turns of the season. Call in sick, take a personal day, or just play hooky - but whatever you do just get up to Loveland and revel in the fact that Winter has officially arrived!
Loveland, Colorado, United States colorado_skiDad and Bern let me sleep in until about 10AM this morning...I definitely should've drank water while I was enjoying those alcoholic beverages last night! Big fail there! I was moving pretty slow but I managed to shower, eat some oatmeal and we got on our way.

We drove about an hour or so to Colorado Springs and passed the Air Force Academy on the way. After we got off the highway in C. Springs, we passed thru THE ...
Cascade, Colorado, United States kimmytravels... baring the postage stamp of Loveland. With that in mind we expected a funky little town with a cool hippy air about it, it's actually a bit grim and with nothing going on, a big surprise after Fort Collins. I was a bit peeved to think that Colorado could be just like the other States after all, with just a couple of lively towns/areas. Just 17 miles south of Loveland my faith in Colorado was restored thanks to Longmont ...
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States pumpkinqueen... on the phone and we immediately got down to business. I gave her the basic details of my trip and after a few questions she resumed hammering her keyboard and staring intently into the monitor in front of her. I glanced around for a peek at what she was looking at and couldn't make any sense of it. It was really just a basic LED kind of display with charts made of green light, filled with letters and numbers. It was just raw data that she processed and ...
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States evensong... in Colorado Springs with a few hours to relax before the pool party. I stayed in a different hotel than everyone else because I was slacking and didn't book as far ahead as I should have. However, I was happy with my hotel (Crestwood Suites) as it was cheaper and I had a full kitchenette and laundry facilities in the hotel. I also had a good view of Pikes Peak out my window. At 7 we headed out to the pool ...
Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States snan... and cheesy stuff life Bon Jovi, Aerosmith and the such like - it's great. I really like Denver, it's very cosmopolitan but not in a big way. You can find your way around easily, it's got loads of places to go out, lots of live music, loads of bars & restaurants. I liked it better than Chicago, even though it does have a gritty feel to it. We were contemplating staying another night in Denver but decided we'd had enough of cities and are heading to Colorado Springs next instead.
Denver, Colorado, United States lisartwI won't have my cellphone for the four months I'm travelling. So really the original purpose of this weblog is so that, through my frequent updates, my family can know that I haven't died yet or been kidnapped in some random country somewhere. But I suppose since I'll have access to this website, rather than just logging on and writing "alive" every few days, I can throw in a little info about what I've been up to at the different ...
