... we were glad we got to spend so much time outside in the cool air.
The storms did arrive-- we took advantage of the pool and hot tub, and had a good lunch at Tequila's, a nearby Mexican restaurant. Once the weather cleared, we went into Trinidad for the Riverwalk and Kit Carson State Park. Another swim rounded out this great ...

Another long session crossing the Plains...very hot today, so stops were few and mostly either gas fill-ups or road pull-offs (including one monument for the Santa Fe Trail and another in Colorado near a military area commemorating a plane crash). So back track to the killing zone and stayed between the two fences back to this point. Back on track and we then experienced our first bit of technical ridding. What a scream. Loads of gopro footage will be posted in due course along with the film release!! ...

... 9 (our of about 10 sites). I get out of the RV, and look for our connections, I see water, no cable (not critical), two shovels, a piece of plywood, and a hole in the ground - yep I am thinking that there is the spot for....well...you know what. We go inside to check in. We have to ring a buzzer to get someone to come from the back. He opens the door - looks like he has not taken a shower in weeks, ...
