Not a whole lot to share for today. We both went to work for most of the day and got on the road about 5 PM for a 4 hour drive to Thomasville, GA, where we spent the night with some friends. We had not seen the NeSmith's in a couple years so it was great to spend some time with them even though it was short. It's incredible how fast kids can start playing with other kids they've never met and act like they've known each other for years in no time at all.

... the HOV there was no drama, and I was out of Atlanta in 45 minutes. Key West is about 1500 km south of Atlanta so the original plan was to do it in 2 days, however leaving a little early allowed me to put in about 330 kms and reduce my daily mileage requirements. Tomorrow I will put in a full day and try to get south of Tampa, leaving an easy day for arrival into Key West on Saturday.

Didn't take a sleep aid and just hoped the wine would do it. Seats were a little smaller, harder to stretch out, and I was near the bathroom so lots of noise all night. Had dinner, ...

... wife who were yet again a fabulous couple, and took the time to show us their farm which was, due to the heavy rainfall, more than a little 'pungent'. The reason I was keen to feature this farm was that a local restaurant tried to source all their ingredients from two local farms in a true 'farm to table' concept which I loved the idea of. We then went to the restaurant in Greenville, 'Bacon Bros' which was aptly named. They have a ...
