    stooped at Eugene for new tyres and filters etc
    headed for the Crater lakes and found ourselves passing a store and garage that we visited while on the TAT about a weak earlier when the nice American girl curtsied to us.

    ... so much bigger than the ones in Colorado, extending far inland, home to forests, houses, and roadways. Because of some hatching season, we were not allowed to walk on the sand with Ebony but the views were gorgeous anyway.

    We camped that night at the Umpqua Lighthouse State Park where a feral cat tried to eat our dogfood and our smoked salmon. More rain, but not too bad. We got a good night's sleep in preparation for more coastal adventures the next day.

    ... Winery and Distillery right on the bank of the Umpqua River. A lovely home with tasting room in the back overlooking the river. Good wine there too. Sandy Glaser is the winemaker and her son Leon is the distiller - making some lovely little liqeuors. I think we could have happily spent several more days in this area but it was time to move on. Next stop Durango RV Park in Red Bluff CA.

    Hey there folks we're now down in Oregon. It is just how I pictured it, with green rivers and hillsides of pine trees of all shapes and sizes. I'm sorry but photos will have to wait, as we needed to sort out forward accommodation, and that all takes time.
    The is a mixture of farm land with cows lazing in the fields, then rushing rivers that just need to be stopped beside when possible for a photo opportunity.

    ... crispy and bready. We both had maple bacon but they do a range of sweet as well. They were delicious and the eccentric staff certainly added to the food. On the way back we looked in at Nordstrom Rack, where they send end-of-line and last-season’s stock. There were a lot of fabulous shoes and clothes at great prices.
