We made it to Canton, Mississippii on Friday. Canton is a small town of about 30,000 but has one of the 2, Nissan plants in the USA. The plant is huge, it is one mile long and you can get tours during the week. It was a place we would have liked to see:((

... apart from some nice architecture and a few green spaces within the city. Nonetheless, we explored the city for a few hours before retiring to our hotel which had a swimming pool and cable TV!!
A bit broken from New Orleans we spent the late afternoon in the pool, warmed up a couple of microwave meals and watched some dodgy American films.... just what the doctor ordered!!
The next day we left Jackson for Clarksdale, home of the Delta Blues!

Quick stop at maccys, there no bigger or nicer than ours! Disappointing i was expecting tripple bigmac! Had a stroll around the air and space museum and after a long day walking we was shattered but extremely pleased with Washington! Back to camp to spruce up and head out for a big all american rib dinner! YUM! Next stop ...
... towards Port Gibson. This was the road taken by the majority of Grants army. His army was spread out over the countryside but this road was the main thoroughfare. There was a few stops for battlefields but mostly there were signs placed at various locations to tell the significance of these spots.
