      Thanksgiving getaway

A travel blog entry by twittg on Nov 22, 2014

I wanted to go to Central or South America, but air miles wouldn't get me there and flights were too expensive. There were also other Caribbean islands I was more interested in (St Lucia, St Maarten) but also too expensive to fly there. So I ended up with The Bahamas.

This normally wouldn’t be so bad but it is about 31 degrees and I’m carrying two heavy bags.

I forgot to mention, we are couchsurfing for the ...

      Good plan Peppis.

I'll never do Amtrak again that's for sure.

The last night in Minneapolis we did pizza Luces and I got to spend the morning wih A and C before leaving, with a really nice breakfast.
While in the Sisseton area we went to Fargo for red lobster and a movie, went to the big pow-wow and hung out with Cs family for 4th, and spent a lot of time watching movies, soccer and reading. The ...

... 1914, decimating this most photographed bridge in Oregon. I have in my pocket a little bit of history---a piece of the original Benson Bridge that was handed to me as a souvenir on that reopening day. I will place it inside the box with the old photographs, and my memories will join the mementos of an earlier time when sweethearts stood in the mist on that bridge. ...
