... and grab some more super duper baked goods for what turned out to be a looong train trip...rails too hot, 40mph are you kidding me. Picked up by legends Romulus and Elyse Apolzan to their place in downtown Seattle and it's terrific - even more the rooftop beers...was tired but not too tired for that.

... 7 - Ughhh.. I'm starting to see a pattern. Slow morning followed by family skyping and an amazing Mc Donald's! Bacon double cheeseburger where have you been all my life! Experiencing such amazing weather we couldn't not go to the beach and dipped our feet in the freezing Pacific! The beach is so clean and noticeably is missing shells and seaweed! Moving on from Lincon City in the morning the night will be spent with a walking dead marathon and microwave meal! Bring on week 2...

Today I went to check out the arboretum. Which in case, like me, you haven't heard of one is a kind of living museum for trees. There is loads and squillions of types of tree there, some are really rare and they are being conserved for the future. So I guess it's a little bit like a tree zoo. With it being the start of autumn it really was beautiful. Lots of trees were still hanging on to their bright green leaves ...
