    ... showing 108F. Once in California I had to join the interstate for the short journey into Needles, my stop for the night. As I entered the town the cars thermometer briefly recorders 111F before settling at 110F as I pulled into my motel. I quickly checked in and made for the outdoor pool which was actually warm!
