    I left Seligman this morning to continue the wonderful, interstate-free drive westwards towards Kingman, Arizona. There was glorious scenery all the way as the road followed a path through mountain passes and wide valleys - just as had been promised. East of Peach Springs Route 66 has curved as far away from the interstate as it does in Arizona and offers a distant view of the Grand Canyon.
