... there is a trail to the "Berkeley Pit Overlook" but it was open for guided tours only. Oh well. We took a few pictures of what we could see (interesting old superstructures that supported the elevators down into the old underground mines, the historic district of Butte -- old buildings and such, and the surrounding scenery).
