... When we got there around 11 am they were closed to film a documentary on Knievel. Waited about an hour for them to finish. Couldn’t believe how much recording equipment they had in such a small place (about a dozen bar stools and 6 four-person booths. Patrons were working guys (painters, dry wallers, etc. having lunch.

Once south of Great Fall however you head into the Big Bend mountains,. Really a nice ride for about two hours, 75 mph which can be road at 80 mph very easily. Nice sweepers that follow the valley through the mountain. Where the temp was 28 degrees farther north, the temp dropped to a nice 23.5 degrees.

On the way we saw a family of mountain goats beside the road and an antelope in the middle of the fields. The cavern tour was beautiful but exhausting. It was ...

Upon reaching Butte, Montana, we took a little detour here to take a picture of Eddy's Motel (there's a little story with this that I won't repeat here -- it's a bit of a Bushaw family "joke"). We then decided to go up the hill in Butte to see if we could see into the Berkeley Pit, which is a defunct pit mine that is slowly filling with water, which in turn is leaching all kinds of ugly stuff out of the soil; Ruth looked up some information on the internet -- it's not ...
