After a hearty home cooked breakfast by Kendra Chris & I headed off alone as Mel wanted a day of easier roads & to visit a small castle, Frank was hostage! We decided to take the most scenic route to Rifle. We were soon among 10 other Harley's heading towards the 65 which was a scenic route through Adobe wilderness. ... not hit the broad side of a barn without my reading glasses. The sights were a complete blur to me. Becoming an old **** sucks! Hunter and Colby were safe and responsible shooters and that is all I could have hoped for. The fact that they were good at it was only icing on the cake. They seemed to really enjoy it too.

After returning to camp I continued to smoke the brisket into the early evening before preparing our Independence ...

At Rifle we exit onto SR 6 for a very short stretch. Interestingly, this is the same SR 6 that crosses the entire USA from East to West coast, including the norther tier of Pennsylvania, which I have ridden with my youngest son, Corey.
