At the Lafayette corner junction Andy amazingly spotted without his glasses, that across the street was 'Central Perk', I was beside myself as I had resigned myself to not seeing it and here it was en route. Obv I had to have a photo, but sadly i was not able to go in, as it wasn't due to open until 17th sept.

Happy with stumbling upon this we carried on down the street and could easily ...

... exploring the neighborhood. This might be a good time to talk about the trouble with finding a restroom in NYC. One of my favorite things has been to wander around the neighborhoods to see what each one has to offer. The problem with this is that it is very difficult to find a public restroom and if you do, it's disgusting. Since I am outside a lot during the day I have been drinking several bottles of water.
