On Sunday we enjoyed a jazz brunch cruise around the Hudson River from pier 40 to Brooklyn Bridge, back out to the Statue of Liberty and back into pier 40. All up around three hours on the boat. It was a fantastic experience. A great brunch buffet was on offer; eggs, bacon, grits, sweet stuff. Plus some yummy dessert items for afters; donuts, chocolate coated strawberries, cheesecake. Yum.

In saying that, trying to get close to Vincent van Gogh's "The Starry Night" was a bit like trying to get close to the "Mona Lisa" in the Louvre. I guess at least it is bigger! A couple of the highlights for me were Andy Warhol's "Campbell's Soup Cans series" (as all 32 canvases displayed together) and Claude Monet's "Reflections of ...

... for the rest of the night. Day two - I was on a mission to go shopping for clothes. I wanted to check out a big store called Century 21. It's like TJ Maxx but with better and more stuff. WAY more stuff. Like, four or five stories of stuff. Spent lots of time browsing and trying on. Got my loot and ventured on to the next spot. Spent most of the day shopping and just enjoying wandering the ...
