... Pokeys to meet up with Jen and Ric for dinner.

It was really great to see them and we all had a lovely feed of Ric's special BBQ meats. We had, Gator, Cougar and also Buffalo, along with Ric’s brisket, which is to die for. Everything was beautiful and we all had a great feed and a few drinks to catch up.

We are going to go to Tate’s grandfathers Ranch tomorrow which should be a good ...

... work. We then drove to the Buffalo Bill museum and learned all about Buffalo Bill nee William F. Cody. There were 5 museums rolled into 1 but we didn't have time to do the rest. We took the Scenic Byway thru Big Horn National Forest it had fantastic rock formations and a waterfall called Shell Creek. ( photos to follow of course) the rock formations were similar to. wilpenia pound ending up in Gillette which the furthest we wanted to drive today to get ready for The Black Hills ...

... meant a proposed side trip to Devils Tower was in doubt, especially when we stopped of in the town of Wall to see the amazing Wall Drug store. But when we got to the highway turnoff to Devils Tower there was still some daylight so we raced the fading sun into a brilliant sunset to try to get a photo of the iconic landmark made famous in the film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". ... two bears. Yay us. The timing was perfect because not 5 minutes later, they were out of sight. Proceeding through Yellowstone and out the NorthEast exit, we headed to the Bear?? Scenic highway. It is supposed to be one of the most beautiful roads in the States. Alex and I can attest to the fact that is was absolutely amazing, and on my list as one of the top scenic drives I have been on.
