    We left the QC at about 8:30 and arrived in Sioux City at about 3:00 p.

    At SC, it took us awhile to learn how to set up our pop up tents. Our campground was between the Missouri River and I29 near downtown. This was NOT going to be a quiet evening of sleep before Day 1!

    ... Indians. Lewis had known they were being watched and he tried to coax the Indians to sit and exchange gifts and explain their purpose.

    The South Dakota Badlands are a must see. As you travel the country side the Badlands just appear from nowhere, the landscape give you no idea what's coming. From the top of the Badlands you can see how the hills are eroding as they diminish down into the lower plains.
    The Badlands National Park has a beautiful drive which finishes at the small town of Wall where the now famous "Wall drug store" is. ...

    ... and immediately start freaking out, because this leaking travel mug isn’t just a mug I bought myself for the trip… I bought 113 of these cursed things and had them custom printed with our trip logo to give to the people we visit on this road trip. Half the space in our fully packed car is taken up by four cases of these leaky coffee cups! (More on these coffee cups to come in a later post…)
