... tell the of Pied Piper. The clock is old and imported from Germany. Then we went for a WORLD FAMOUS CHICKEN DINNER at Zehnders Bavarian Inn. Still stuffed from lunch and it's 9 PM.

... businesses appeared closed or if open they certainly did not look inviting. Homes that had obviously had a fire some time in the past were left standing-- it seemed like people just walked away from their homes but they stood there in whatever state or experienced vandalism after they walked away. It seemed to us that the impact of the downsizing of the auto industry was pretty evident still in Flint.

... doses - moving from the house to the car; from the car to a shop. So, Glen and I dressed for Sunshine Coast winter - not a Detroit fall. It was about 6 degrees and we were cold. Today's outfit - black jeans, chambray shirt (now washed), cream cashmere sweater (which I'm loving myself sick in), usual boots and bag, purple trench, cashmere pashmina.
