      On my way to St Johns, I stopped and had lunch at Chick-Fil-A, which is my favorite place to eat and it cost me $5.95. As I was almost to my hotel I stopped for gas at Speedys for $40.48 and then went to check in at Days Inn.       ... unique. We had wound our way up a peak we could see the road wind back down to a narrow valley. Down in the valley there was a stream & a bridge for the highway to cross. Then it wound back up another peak on the other side of the valley.

      Casa Malpais RV Park is OK for an overnight trip. There were several very old rigs that people are obviously living in full time. That always makes an RV park seem a little iffy. ...

      ... get into the cabin at midday to clean it for the next guests. We were all a sad to leave, Charles wanted another day to fish and Oliver would happily spend his time doing archery or BB guns.

      Abi & Oli took one last opportunity to do archery and BB guns whilst Charles and I packed the car then took a carriage ride around the ranch with Bonnie and Tom (a very large horse but not quite as big as a shire horse).

      ... slowly the last 400 metres. It was a beautiful site to see two helpful wranglers waiting to take charge of the horses so we could hobble back to the cabin with a much wider gait than when we started. It was fun but we were all exhausted and wondering how we were going to make it to dinner.
