The following day was a sea day on our way around the bottom of the Italian 'boot' and on to Naples. The ship stopped at 5 am about half way between Greece and Italy after a distress call was received from a small power boat with 42 Syrian refugees. Our ship stood by until the Italian coast guard arrived and took them all aboard leaving the small boat behind. We were on our way again just after 10 ...
