Rockley Golf & Country Club Worthing, Barbados, 246-435-7606
... to Rhonda and her advice, we also visited St Nicholas Abbey, which was lovely…..and in the evening treated ourselves to dinner at The FishPot (excellent) after lunch at Nanika (no wonder we piled on the pounds this holiday)!
All in all, a most relaxing and enjoyable end to our Caribbean adventure…..the R&R necessary to ensure a calm approach to our 44 hour journey back here to Surabaya!
... going to Cuba and making a raft - anything to just get onto American soil. People were fighting to get whatever ticket they could. I was trying to avoid doing that but left it a little too late. So if I was going to be buying a ticket to get anywhere next week I may as well go to Canada, as that part of my itinerary is set whereas nothing was booked for the US. The nice guy at the AC desk ...
Rockley, Barbados kilgiraffeThis is my third day trying to get out of the island on standby. I was 38/47 on the list earlier. So many families of staff members using their tickets for holiday.. It's insanity. It seems to be impossible to get out of the Caribbean right now! Hopefully I'll figure out something soon, otherwise I may have to cancel parts of my itinerary.. :(
Rockley, Barbados kilgiraffe... it even though they weren't the best waves. We did a brief comparison of Barbados vs New York waves, well, you know the outcome. I didn't make them talk to me too long, it was probably like hanging out with their mom.
Sue ~ the helpful Bajan that helped me find my way around Bridgetown. I ventured out on public transport and would have included pics, but sometimes it doesn't feel right to stick a camera in someone's face. I ...
... I was a little bit disappointed that the tour did not stopped here. I would have like to.
We then proceeded to St. John's Church which is perched 800 feet above the Atlantic ocean. Here, we got off the bus and enjoyed our tour inside as well as outside the church. It was amazing. From the back of the church, a magnificent view of the blue azure ocean could be seen. It was absolutely breathtaking.
There were several tombs ...
... Hourrah! Mi and I decided to sit way at the back of the boat for more excitement. Well, we sure were not disappointed. The ride was extremely a high speed one. With excitement, I kept yelling and yelling as water kept splashing on my face and the boat jumping the high waves. By the time we arrived at Turtle Bay, well, Mi and I were soaked. Regardless, we had our bathing suits on. Ha Ha! It sure was a fun ride ...
Bridgetown, Barbados matt13... me and actually going to the surface to check and see if she was up 'getting air' (her way of saying she needed daylight), I decided to venture back down again, now getting a wee bit concerned. Then I noticed bubbles that could come only from a tank. I followed them down, down, down and thought: "this cannot be Ingrid, she wouldn't be down on the ocean floor or at the dock level of the old sunken boat we had explored..." and then sure enough, as fast as I could ...
Bridgetown, Barbados gwaymar... it states that we are to be on call to the purchaser from 8 am to 8 pm for three days after the auction. we are essentially personal servants for three days, minus class time. Pegah had a whole list of stuff for me to do, and won the bidding, mostly so that when we go back to davis she can tell everyone i had to be her servant for three days. i served out my time by doing her grocery shopping, cooking for her, and tagging along while she went to a spa. i didn't actually go ...
Bridgetown, Barbados bdaly334... decision. Much rum and an Aussie victory. After the game we went onto the ground for the presentation and then chatted to most of the players. They were all rapt with the support and said it felt like a home test. Unfortunately Fee has the camera so no photos- but Kat I touched Brett Lees elbow for you. Bing told us they were all going to Harbour Lights that night so we agreed to meet them there. They were all very friendly especially Gilly who ...
