After another day of travel, we have arrived on the island of Koh Samet. I am very impressed with Don, he researched islands in the Gulf of Thailand and he selected a beautiful place for us to stay for a week. We left our hotel in Bangkok at 7:00 this morning. Walking across the street, we caught the subway. After six stops, we got off the first train and changed lines to get the train that would take us to the bus depot. Thanks to a Thai ...

Here we go - my last day in Thailand! Up early, of course, and I had to pack and check out before breakfast.

But as I run back down the beach, the ...

... we were on the bus, and that was good. The ride went pretty well, although I ate this pretty old looking egg sandwich from one of the roadside stands for some reason and worried about vomiting for the rest of the trip. Due to our many....... digestive issues...... , one of our constant, harrowing fears is that we will have to violently vomit or poop during one of the very long bus rides. Because I'll tell you folks, when the brutal stomach pains commence, there is about 1 minute ...

... climate of insanely hot sunshine all day, everyday. Safe to say we were a LOT happier than the last time we arrived at a Thai island together! We spent the next five days happily doing nothing except lying on the bright white sand, swimming in the clear turquoise sea and applying after sun to our burnt noses. Oh, and watching children play with fire - literally. We were impressed and nervous in equal measure as eight-year-olds twirled flaming ...
