    Race Day

A travel blog entry by legoodtimesroll on Jul 10, 2015

Graham met another trathlete on the campsite and they decided to travel on the 7.30 bus into Geneva. An early start with number tattoos applied , sun cream on and pre race breakfast. I delivered them to the bus stop and went back to see if there was any other signs of life at base camp. Slowly the campers emerged and prepared themselves for the day ahead in the hot sun, We failed to get to the bus stop by 10am as planned so had to wait another half ann ...

... We packed the bikes, packed our gear, and headed to bed for an early night, as we are leaving the hotel for our flight to Bastia, at 4.30 am. Friday We got up at 4.00 am, and the hotel shuttle took us and our bike boxes the 5 min drive to the airport. Our flight to Bastia was uneventful, just 55 mins, and we collected our luggage and bike boxes, and conveniently the bus into town had storage holds underneath, and we were able to put the bike boxes there for the 22 km trip ...

The enormous GB team gathered for the parade and we managed to meet up with Simon and Elly having successfully completed their 12 day cycle down the Rhine to Basel and getting the train to Geneva. ...

However it did make sense. So I wasn't surprised when she told me their was a British store. So there's an American store, British store there's some sorta of Asian store. Haven't been but heard about it for spices so what other stores are there? I found I guess I will just have to keep my eyes out!

... it was the right receipt so that wasn't the problem. She called someone and they talked a while. I got a quick look at the receipt and I couldn't find the rod on the receipt. Eventually they found someone who spoke English and she basically said not on the receipt. It didn't even look like it was scanned. They all laughed and basically thanked me for returning it. No one knew what happened but they got it back so no harm no foul. I walked away thinking not sure what happened but ...
