Rocamar Beach Morro del Jable

De tijd hier in Las Palmas gebruiken we om de motor zijn broodnodige onderhoud te laten geven en om de voorraden voor de oversteek naar de Carieb in te slaan.

Our boat is moored in the marina at la Palmas (Fact for you Derek: Spains 7th biggest city). The city is pretty dirty and noisy but whilst Nic was here last week we hired a car for a few days and wild camped our way around the island. Again I am suprised at how beatuiful it is - really dramatic mountains and cliffs. Martin and Doreen joined us for a sail aboard Tethys and a swim off Papagayo beach. Then we had a lunch aboard before returning to the marina just before the sun set! A lovely day.

There sure is a lot of money about. Porto Calero is lovely and great coffee in the marina too. We saw a lot of ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruiser) boats getting ready for their departure mid November and some of the World rally boats too. - None looked like Dark Horse!!!

After a long drive we come to Morro Jable, one of the biggest holiday resorts on the island.
