... most Boho hostel you'll ever set your eyes on. It was an amazing first-hostel experience, I'll tell you that. Blew away all my expectations! It was a tall slender building that was very old. The downstairs lobby/kitchen area had a large table and wrap-around seat with plenty of pillows and tons of space. Ok this is going to be way too difficult to explain, therefore, please just take a good look at the photos! Just know that they had really cool ...
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain vneag... to communicate. We were able to watch Flamingo dancing at the center in town as there was a special performance that night and the star was a young man who grew up in Cadiz and Loly and her husband have known as a child. After the show we went to lunch with Sergio and Oscar their sons. Oscar is older and speaks a little English and looks just like Jon Vaglio. Crazy. That morning both sons were at a casting call for a movie to be made with Tom ...
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands mamafeathersToday was the second and last excursion we did through Holland America. Jacqui had wanted to see the Andalusian horse show, and we could also get in a sherry tasting with it!

First off was the tour of the Gonzales Byass winery. I'm not a big fan of the normal sherries, but I love the sweet sherries. And it was cheap. I got a ...
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands big_red_truck... the way we stopped in Olvera so Mike could get his photo of the village and church tower. We arrived to Nerja very late and couldn't plug in the address in our handy-dandy gps - so we had to call the owner in the UK to give us directions. it was kind of late by the time we got to the house (after midnight). ugh! this was a long, long day! But, we're excited to be at the beach for the next 7 days. Shae can't wait to get her feet wet in the mediterranean.
Jerez de la Frontera, Andalusia, Spain stacicheck... I was really getting used to having a little wine with every meal, it really made it fun. The flamenco performance was really cool, we were right up close and it was really exciting and lively. After that we went out for the night, but since it was a Monday night it ended up not being as wild. We found a cool club with a lounge right on the beach that we had some drinks and hung out at, then we went to find another place to go but most things were very slow. We ...
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands hering... to Canada in shame to found a family of racing drivers. After four nights in Tarifa we had had enough of the wind and sand and decided to move on. We felt there was a lot to see in the Cadiz/Jerez area, so we moved to a site at El Puerto de Santa Maria, which is New Brighton to Cadiz's Liverpool, only smarter and sunnier. It is a pleasant site, with excellent facilities and showers that Lesley is able to operate. More of this in the next edition..............
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands oldagetraveller... up as bees, butterflies, doctors and other things. I thought I might have drunk too much, but my friends noticed that too. We tried to overhear some conversations to find out what was going on, but it was hard because of the noise of the ocean. Little did we know that Cadiz was about to transform that night into a giant stage for a festival of I-don't-know-and-I-don't-want-to-know-w hat, with people dressing up, dancing, drinking, smoking and making out in ...
Cádiz, Andalusia, Spain and Canary Islands translucent... though. Haven't gotten sick like I did the other night. I did do some dance rehearsing that left my stomach feeling kinda ooky... I'm not sure what I was thinking; it's near to impossible to dance in these conditions. I figure, we'll do our best, and worst case scenario, they'll be extra stable dancers while on land. Here are the photos of our cabin ...
Cadiz, Spain aniseh... historic part of the city, seeing all of the main plazas, the watchtowers that many merchants built so they could see the ships coming in, an important statue of Hercules and of a woman representing Spain, and the gigantic cruise ships. After the tour, a few of us went to a nearby place for tapas and then Lauren and I did a little bit of shopping. For dinner, we walked to a nearby restaurant for a buffet (with ...
Cadiz, Spain and Canary Islands anniemac7... ship people. We had Black Paella it was delicious! It was made with the ink from a sea creature and even had seafood in it. I really enjoyed it. I headed back to the ship with a quick stop to get my passport stamped. I made it back on the ship with a little over 30 minutes to spare. I really enjoyed Spain, it was an easy place to travel around. The churches were beautiful and it was a great place to enjoy a slow day. Spain was great fun and I would love to go back someday.
