We elected to head back to Turkey for one last look at the beautiful coast there before ending our trip in Bodrum. Captain Guner selected Orak, which is a small island just off the coast that he says is very popular in summertime. It was a lovely spot, but the area for us to hang out was on a wooden pier at the end of the water and it was nowhere as lovely as our hotel. So we decided to have a bit of walk around, before indulging in some water sports and heading back to Bodrum. The walk proved that we ...

... between the flights, but it became an anxious clock-watching exercise as our next flight began to board and we were still nowhere near the domestic airport. Happily, with only moments to spare, we made it onto the flight. Nobody felt great by the time we arrived, and whilst Bodrum looked lovely enough, the time change meant it was now late afternoon and a strong, cold wind was blowing. I did wonder what we would do if the weather was terrible for these few east days... ...
