We arrived in Agadir, checked into our huge resort hotel (a room with an ocean view! $50 a night), and spent the next day lounging on the beach or by the pool. Nothing else to report.

Dinner was unfortunately a bit disappointing: a beef tagine that we not-so-affectionately dubbed “Moroccan pot roast”, as it lacked the spices that make Moroccan food so delicious. Our check in staff member just gawked when he saw my Australian Passport and exclaimed that he had never seen one of those before. I thought he was going to keep it as a souvenir. But on the upside, motel style room 1133 is big, it is warm, the water is ...

    Day 052: Another Moroccan Superhike

... still with that same crazy drive to play music all around the world.

I continue on south through the same area I hiked through back in 1996. Back then, there were just empty streets and electric lines—not a single house. And I thought “Somebody’s got way too much faith… there’s no way this area is all going to fill up with houses!” Well, now there’s hardly an empty lot in sight, and on the other side ...
