    The absence of a happy little dog wagging his tail when Marlene arrived home obviously hurt, but she kept her grief to herself. Tara was there no longer. Chléo's unending, sorrowful meowing on our first evening back home however touched both of us. Chléo, the cat, hadn't appeared too close to Tara until then.

  • and last, but not least, Lili, her tortoise who spents about 18 hours out of 24 sleeping
  • A strong cup of coffee to start off the day around 8 am, fresh fruit for me, cake for Marlene. Wafa, Marlene's home help arrived around 9 am and spoilt us every day from there on, except on Sundays. YES! What a privilege to be a guest in the hotel Villa Marlene!
