... s move on. Our first destination on the tour was a town called Cobh, which is in the south of Ireland, and in which we arrived by late morning. Today has been less of a busy one trying to fit everything in. I went to Blarney Castle early in the morning. Just as well I did because as I was coming down the last lot of stairs the tour buses had arrived and the queue was looong. I got to wander around the castle relatively alone and then wandered around the gardens. They had a garden called the "Poison Garden" which had poisonous plants ...
... in coaxing her out again. Soon more diners are taking to the dance floor. As we are leaving, when the music and dancing has finished a woman asks if the kids are Irish, because "they already have the moves."
When we get home, Elizabeth puts the kids to bed and heads back out. Chris will need picking up tonight as he hitched a ride into the city center with a coworker. Chris and his coworkers are settled down with some pints at Franciscan Wells ...
... village of Blarney is small and cute. We walk from the Blarney Woolen Mills parking lot to the Blarney Castle entrance. After buying our tickets, we head straight to the castle to queue up for the Blarney Stone. The line begins at the staircase inside the castle so the climb is leisurely as we go up about 2 steps at a time. It takes about 30 minutes for us to get to the top and the Blarney Stone. When we leave the Blarney Castle the line is at least three times ...
... and very nice. There are lots of stores we may have to come back and check out.
After the store we unwind at home. We notice they have an 8 box set of the Harry Potter films and since we've finally finished listening to all the books, tonight we'll watch the Half Blood Prince. The boys curl up on a blanket on the floor, holding their wands and wearing their Harry Potter glasses, while Chris and Elizabeth curl up on the couch, contentedly relaxing at ...
