Well, I had hoped by getting up at 7ish and having breakfast at 7:30 and that I would be out early enough but I hadn't counted on the wealth of information imparted by my B&B hostess Barbara.

I was served a candlelight breakfast with coffee, juice, fruit salad and a breakfast casserole. Barbara said it was very healthy with grains, granola and I am not sure what else. It was topped with a mound ...

After going to the ATM to get cash to pay for my room and visiting the church, I was finally ready to start on my bike ride. The Locals

The person who showed us our Airbnb in Venice, Orial, asked me about what I thought about the people in my first visit to Italy, and to Europe. I also have to disclaim/qualify that I fully understand that I have had a small glimpse of ...

... take this very seriously, at least at many of the places we ate, because the food was so fresh. I've learned that ingredients make all the difference in a great meal and a mediocre one. This makes me even more excited about the CSA we joined for the summer - we'll be forced to cook with the produce that is seasonal, and use fresh, local vegetables in our meals.
I'd like to try to bring the essence of this back home. Cook simple meals, with fresh ...

... flower covered alleys and lush gardens. And I hope we enjoy the cities, truly enjoy them, instead of checking off boxes of places to go.

So yes, I'll be using all our apps. But I'll also try to forget about them unless we really need or want them (so we don't get lost and have to walk along a highway in the dark).

It is a vacation, after all. And, as Bob and I always say to each other, "It's an adventure!"
