... things..... Al decided to wear his "Chevrolet Racing" hat to blend in. Within 50 yards of leaving our hotel he gets a cheery wave from a cop on traffic speeding duty. So now at the restaurant we realize that indeed it is a dry state, and Al ordered coffee, Liz water. Thank goodness we had vodka before we left. The restaurant had music playing that was one of two types to choose from...Country or Western. Why does Tammy Wynette sound like a dentist ...

      Winter Precedes Us

We left the Montana Winter, from Helena, on New Year's Eve. Making a brief stop in Montana City to share some apples, we head south, to, hopefully, warmer climes.

The roads, for the most part, were fine. One exception was the road "slime" courtesy of the MTDOT between Helena and Butte. Seems that it never fails that Sooby gets a new coat of camo somewhere enroute. We stopped just south of Butte at the first rest area for lunch. It's our usual ...

      ... some adventure.

2nd day-2nd day we went to the Deadhorse and Canyonlands national parks. These two parks have different entries. The topology is different in these two places and are definitely worth visiting. All I would say is don't miss out on the Arches and the Canyonlands, they are worth a visit. Happy ...

The trip from Fort Hall entailed lots of straight-stretches of highway plus amazing views of the surrounding mountains. There are more large trucks on the road than I’ve ever seen before. I-15 seems to be the major freight corridor in the west, in this area, at least. Speed limits varied from 65 to 80 mph. When we’re heading south, I try to drive Shorty about sixty-five miles an hour. He’s smooth at that speed and ...

... I took it to was brilliant and even gave it a good clean and polish. The beast looks brand new again and has never looked so good since she arrived in Ushuaia at the beginning. They even replaced a small missing screw in the faring and gave me a bottle of chain oil for my oiler at no cost to myself.

By the time I got on my way it was 11h00 and soon I was racing along interstate 15 at 80mph. This is the highway to Salt Lake city which is over 300 miles away.

      It ...
