After about an hour's driving in near windless conditions this morning, and after stopping at the Utah Welcoming Center for a lunch break, all Heck broke loose, so to speak...

Today's travel set a record for the most challenging drive in a motorhome ever for us. We went through at least four snow squalls and encountered up an inch of freezing slush on the Interstate ...

We left the Montana Winter, from Helena, on New Year's Eve. Making a brief stop in Montana City to share some apples, we head south, to, hopefully, warmer climes.

The roads, for the most part, were fine. One exception was the road "slime" courtesy of the MTDOT between Helena and Butte. Seems that it never fails that Sooby gets a new coat of camo somewhere enroute. We stopped just south of Butte at the first rest area for lunch. It's our usual ...

The park already looked amazing.Sheer sandstone cliff faces, some of them bright red.We saw ...

The trip from Fort Hall entailed lots of straight-stretches of highway plus amazing views of the surrounding mountains. There are more large trucks on the road than I’ve ever seen before. I-15 seems to be the major freight corridor in the west, in this area, at least. Speed limits varied from 65 to 80 mph. When we’re heading south, I try to drive Shorty about sixty-five miles an hour. He’s smooth at that speed and ...

... boiling day and so I was as usual travelling with only a T-shirt on but as like many folk on this planet I just never learn!! Just like a few days ago there was loads of large hornets flying around and for sure one was going to get me. Smash, right into my arm this damm thing went and somehow managed to get down my shirt and sting me. I stopped and pulled the large sting out myself. Judging by the size of the sting these horrible insects must be quite large creatures. I then decided ...
