... Bridge, the Bridge of Sighs, St Marks Square and St Marks Basilica and climbed to the top to visit the museum and then the treasury. Next time we visit Venice we would like to visit more of the outlying Venitian Islands which are so much less touristy and Carolyn also spotted a Vivaldi Museum which may be worth a look!! A rowdy group dinner ensued when we met up with the rest of our tour group who had been out on gondolas and had a few too many Venetian champagnes ...

... we spent the day walking miles upon miles, taking boats to various islands and parts of Venezia, enjoying the bells ring in the crowded St Mark's square and getting lost in the backstreets and canals of quaint Venice. We took nearly 300 pictures today. Sometime in the afternoon we just got too tired and too overwhelmed to take pictures ~ we simply walked for several more hours and enjoyed the scenery and tried to take it all in. ...
