... An ice cream was definitely required after this and while ordering Jess had another encounter with an aggressive Italian, the man serving us. The next stop was the Peggy Guggenheim Gallery of modern art which was definitely more the girls cup of tea although the tiredness was kicking in by this time, for all of us. One way to make Venice just like any other city is to get away from what makes it unique and spend your ...

... but still pricey. It makes sense though, when you consider the cost of transporting anything to the islands.

All in all, I loved visiting Venice, but would never want to live there. Rick Steves called it Disneyland for adults, and I think that's probably the most accurate description.

... matching his own! As we are now poor from all our purchase, we have a quick lunch of kebabs and water HA HA! Although delicious, we will be lucky to escape food poisoning Our wandering brings us full circle back to our hotel, so we have a quick toilet break and rest the feet for half an hour. Finding a toilet in Venice is like trying to find a non transsexual hooker in Bali, expensive, dirty and not worth the effort. Better off just going home for the ...

Unlike our trip to Venice in 2009 which was frustratingly short (around 2 hours after we'd checked our luggage)...........this day trip was a great success.

So many laneways to get lost in, bridges to linger on and stores to admire.
