There is a smaller Wild Life Park right in Darling Harbour that is focused on Australian animals. We will get in before the masses, have a guided tour around the place, eat breakfast with the koalas, and hopefully feed ...

    ... to Bruges, the "Venice of the North." Spend two nights there.
    - Take the train back to Brussels, spend the night, and catch an early flight back home.

    In true Jamie fashion, it will be a whirlwind trip, but I'm allowing myself some flexible time to go with the flow. At least, I hope that will happen.

    T-minus 80 days and counting! That sounds crazy to me considering when we booked the trip to Australia wayyyyy back in May (nine months out) it seemed like forever to wait.

    Things are coming along quite nicely. All hotels have been booked and paid for as have our major modes of transportation. That's where the title "taking the long way around" comes into play. We knew we were flying into Sydney ...
