... Spoiled myself with gorgeous silver pendant. Checked out diamond stores but very expensive. Finished up all except 50 Rand ($5). Bag check at gate. Tried to upgrade but no Qantas desk and shared lounge wasn't able to. Bussed to plane, first time I've had to climb stairs from ground to big plane. Very empty flight. Had all 3 seats to myself. Everyone was pretty much able to have row to themselves. Departed 7pm. Only 11 hour ...
... during the world cup, but it’s not particularly attractive. Our hotel, hostel actually, is in the centre. We deposit our bags in the dorm in the basement and cross the street to grab dinner. baboons were the most entertaining. We were told about a lion, but it
left before we got there.
When we got back, I took a quick nap
and then we went to dinner. We had wine, bbq African sausage, some
potato salad thing and grilled veggies. It was pretty good, but nothing
great. We talked with the other groups and got to learn some stuff about
Ireland from ...
