... in Mongena Game Lodge. We had seen so many, and such a variety of animals: it was amazing. I was told, as we drove in, to pick any animal that we saw, to be my lunch. I choose a warthog and suddenly the offer to choose an animal to eat was withdrawn. We eventually arrived at the restaurant, to find two zebra grazing on the lawn just meters away. The closest I had been to a zebra, it was amazing to see their awesome pattern up close. Situated over a waterhole, where ...

... experiences or so we imagined. I thought of those glances as we entered the Mall on the way to the Top of Africa, an observation site located on the top floor of a tall building. The people in the mall rarely exchanged a friendly teethy smile, but rather a slight head nod of acknowledgement. I feel safe but not invited. The view was crowded but it was interesting to see the mine dumps. I wonder if ...

... it was next to impossible to earn a steady income from ones 'talent,' where artists had to depend on sponsors and promoters to finance their work. Parents took pride in telling their friends that their child is studying one of the above professions. Being an artist was shun upon, as a result, we have very few Tanzanian artists who have made a profession they can sustain themselves with and essentially art becomes a moonlighting gig. Personally, when ...

... have spent a lot longer there but it was a bit much for Kayla to really take in. With so much reading to do it was taking a while to go through.

After checking into the 'Airport Grand Hotel' we went for a walk for Jim to look at the bike and car dealers close by. At the nearby shopping centre we found one of our favourite 'Ocean Basket' fish and chip places. We had to have our last beautiful meal there before going back to the room.
