... we would have two things to fix in the morning. We lay around in the small pool at the camp ground getting the old core temperature down before cooking some dinner at 9pm. You have to wait that long before you feel like eating. The scenery all the way up to Pavia was uninspiring and we were uninspired. I even went in the back and had a snooze much to Kerry's disgust. Oh well you got to have a blah day once in a while to make the rest stand ...

... parking space by Africans who then charge you even though it is pay and display. Piacenza has very narrow streets which are mostly one way but if you can get to nearly the end of Via Borghetto there is plenty of parking and only a 10 minute walk back into the centre. The main sites are the equestrian statues in the main square, the arcade at one side of the square and the Duomo. It takes under an hour to do. We bought bread and dried mushrooms and were soon off down south ...

... you'd want to spend the night!! Anyway they might have been cleaned up since the pictures on google earth were taken (!!) so we decided to have a look.

Tom Tom decided that he wanted to show off his ability to use the toll roads without paying even if it was the most illogical route possible!!! We had set it to avoid toll roads so we were quite happily driving along the road towards Stresa, which on the map was the logical route, when he decided to ...
