... in what is considered a "pitcher's park" ... pretty lowkey as far as between inning sideshow things ... good crowd for a Tuesday night but you could tell they are frustrated with how the team is doing ... Home team record: 2-2 ... Next stop AT&T Park in San Francisco (10 hours back the direction I just came. I need to fire my travel agent!)

Greetings from San Diego.

We had another dandy motor down from Oceanside. We were once again escorted by dolphins. That's two days in a row of receiving the mariners good luck sign and we're taking it.

San Diego from the water is a pretty cool place. We came in on Friday the 18th in the early afternoon and there were all kinds of folks out for a sail. One guy in a similar size boat sailed by us and we were motoring!

We couldn't visit San Diego without spending a day at the world-famous San Diego Zoo. And what a special treat it was. The San Diego Zoo houses over 3,700 animals of more than 650 species, and is truly a unique experience. We started by taking the 30 minute open-air narrated bus tour through the zoo, which was a great way to get acquainted with the different parts of this enormous facility. ...

... were on (May is pretty much right at the start of the busy season) and trying out the rides (which it became even more apparent - Tanya hates) until we felt we'd had enough so head back to the hotel to 'freshen up'.

After a short lay down we decided to hit another 'institution' as recommended by the ChowHound gang - Rubios. Now we were advised about this on ChowHound and then again by a few of the locals, but neither of us were expecting what we got..... For those who ...
